ALL-STARs (Accessibility Linking Lives) Initiatives
ALL-STARs Initiatives
We connect families to inclusive spaces and support services to fully participate in all aspects of life - building confidence, community, and access for all.
ACCEPT - We believe every child and family deserves to feel welcomed, supported, and celebrated in their community- regardless of ability.
CONNECT - We foster relationships - between families, professionals, and community partners - to create strong, supportive networks that last beyond our programs.
EMPOWER - We equip families with the tools, knowledge, and confidence they need to navigate and access the spaces and services that help their children thrive.
What does ALL-STARs do?
.Our Inclusive Camps were created to help empower children of all abilities to recognize their functional potential—so they can fully engage in the world around them! We know that families with children who have differing needs often face barriers when accessing local parks, facilities, and businesses. Our camps break down these barriers by introducing families to community spaces they may not have realized were accessible—whether that’s a child who uses a wheelchair discovering an adaptive playground or a family with a child who elopes finding a safe, welcoming park. By exploring these locations alongside trusted therapy partners, families gain the confidence and knowledge to expand their child’s and their own sense of community.
Since piloting our first camp in 2022, we’ve seen the transformative impact these sessions have had on children and families. Held at Culpeper locations like Mountain Run Lake Park, Bright Spot Playground, and Verdun Adventure Bound (to name a few), each session offers a safe, inclusive environment where children of all abilities can play, learn, and connect—while parents build relationships with others who understand their journey.
We keep camp costs low because we believe finances shouldn’t stand in the way of opportunity. However, to continue providing this affordable, high-impact experience—especially for many of our low-income families—we need sponsors like you.
