+ Why work for Community-STARs?

Whether you are a new professional or an experienced therapist, Community-STARs has the mentorship and collaboration you seek to succeed in your career as a pediatric therapist.

Don’t take my word for it, ask our therapists:

+ What is the main reason you work at Community-STARs?:

Is it because C-STARs offers the opportunity to work in a variety of settings? At Community-STARs, therapists have the opportunity to work in Early Intervention, School-based and Clinic settings. We have a Client Care Department, not a Front Desk Department.

"What drew me to C-STARs when I first started working here was the ability to work in 3 different settings. I liked the challenge that was presented and the ability to switch things up…” Sam

"One of the things I love about C-STARs is the opportunity to provide both school-based and outpatient therapy!" Mckenzie

+ Is it because C-STARs has a supportive and collaborative team?

At Community-STARs it is important to us that we strengthen and support each other, as well as our clients. We meet weekly at Team Huddles and there are opportunities for input from the team to help problem-solve challenges.

“…What keeps me wanting to come to work each day is my amazing team of co-workers. The team we have here is unbelievable and I love how close-knit we are. There are countless mentorship opportunities, even across disciplines and I love that supportive feeling I have from my colleagues." Sam

"I appreciate the collaborative nature between therapists and administration that is organic and unforced. It provides a strong foundation for me to use my therapeutic skills in ways that are creative and effective for my clients." Michelle

"I work at C-STARs because of the team approach and community. We support each other and are always provided with opportunities to learn and grow." Wanda

"I work at C-STARs because it's not just a team here, it's more like a family. There's a lot of love and care here not just for our clients but also between coworkers." April

+ Is it because of C-STARs’ leadership?

While Kim Lephart, owner of Community-STARs, has been recognized for her leadership nationally as the 2021 Female Entrepreneur of the year, Community-STARs’ leadership is deeper than that. Community-STARs has Lead Therapists in each department and an Executive Team that meets regularly to coordinate and determine ways to improve multidisciplinary cooperation and support.

"The main reason I like working at C-STARs is the leadership and my colleagues who work here. We have an amazing community of clients." Wendy

"I really enjoy working at C-STARs! I love all the people I work with. Even though I'm an office staff member, all the therapists and office staff get along great!! I appreciate the fact that the owner, Kim Lephart, works hard to help us meet our goals and gives us training opportunities that not only help me in my work life, but in my personal life as well. She is always there to support me when I need it. I enjoy getting to meet new families and help them as they get therapy at our clinic. C-STARs is a great place to work!!" Marissa

+ Is it because of C-STARs continuing education program?

Continued competency and expertise in the area of pediatrics is important at Community-STARs. C-STARs has a generous continuing education program to develop therapists from all levels of expertise. Additionally, C-STARs offers a formalized mentorship program, as well as regular Therapy in Practice (TiPs) or in-services.

"Fantastic team with great flexibility and support, including support for continuing education!" Kristin

"The two big reasons I love working at C-STARs is because of the support provided that facilitates my growth as a clinician and the amazing collaboration amongst therapists of all disciplines!" Taylor
